As we all know, Christmas is this weekend and there aren’t too many wild and crazy events going on-aside from the typical holiday plans. Many people are taking advantage of this “free” weekend and cozying up in the cold, surrounded by friends and family, enjoying the holiday. But if you’re looking for something to do with the kids this weekend, try checking out Holiday Family Free Day at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.
Families are welcome to come enjoy free admission at the museum from 10am until 5pm. You’ll have the chance to enjoy water color painting, wreath making, and many more kid-friendly crafts. Plus, the Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood exhibit is up and kids are sure to love it. The exhibit features a walk-through, interactive journey through some of the great places from the PBS show, Daniel Tiger’s neighborhood. The kiddos will be able to play with musical instruments, dress up, sort mail, and even do a bit of knitting! Talk about keeping them busy.
This is a great event if you’re looking to get away from the craziness of the holidays for a little bit and just enjoy some good ol’ fun with your family. Plus, it’s free. So it doesn’t really get much better than that, right? Don’t freak out if you can’t make this event though, the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh has a bunch more upcoming events for you to attend.
