For those that don’t know, the strip district is a neighborhood in Pittsburgh that features tons of awesome shops, eateries, and small businesses. People of all over will gather together in this lively neighborhood on Saturday September 10th and Sunday September 11th beginning at noon as we celebrate the Strip District World Festival. Good food, jammin’ music, and eccentric individuals will all be perks of attending the event (I know, I know, I had you at “good food.”)
On Saturday, event goers can enjoy music from Risen to Save, Middle-Eastern dance with Jemeena Bellydance, and Desperado- Eagles Tribute band. Sunday will feature Latin dance with the PDC, Freedom Band-Reggae, and Misaligned Mind featuring Guitar Zack.
Aside from the interesting entertainment, you can browse through the many vendors offering crafts and goodies. If you’re interested in becoming a vendor yourself, you can fill out the application form at http://stripdistrictworldfestival.com/become-a-vendor/.
I don’t know about you Pittsburgh natives-but one of my absolute favorite things about Pittsburgh is the Strip District. When you throw in some great music, delicious food, and one of a kind crafts, you’d just be a fool not to go. The Strip District World Festival is just one of the many ways that Pittsburgh and the strip is bringing together people from all walks of life to celebrate our heritage, our unity, and most importantly our city.
